Nestled on a double lot beside Bush Park in Salem, this 1962 historic home is undergoing a thoughtful remodel that harmonizes modern updates with its vintage charm. The kitchen is being completely transformed with new cabinetry, elegant granite countertops, and a custom tile backsplash, creating a functional yet stylish heart for the home. Throughout the main living areas, dated carpeting is being replaced with classic hardwood flooring, while the existing bedroom hardwoods are meticulously refinished to their original glory. The primary bathroom is evolving into a spa-like retreat, featuring a spacious walk-in tiled shower with large format tiles, sustainable Marmoleum flooring, a stunning granite countertop with a contemporary vessel sink, and a sleek wall-mount faucet. Lighting selections, handpicked by the client, infuse soft lines and a whimsical feel, all while paying a respectful nod to the home’s original 1962 character.
