ABOUT THE PROJECT
There’s something special about a log home—the warmth, character, and stories held in every beam. For this full remodel, our goal wasn’t to change what made the home special, but to give it a fresh chapter. We started with a clean slate, removing the existing flooring, tile, carpet, and cabinetry so we could rethink the flow and finishes. Contemporary materials were then layered in to complement the original logs, allowing the wood to remain the heart of the home. Painted ceilings brighten key spaces, while a white cultured-brick feature wall in the fireside room adds texture and a fresh focal point. The kitchen was completely transformed into a beautiful gathering space with clean-lined cabinetry, high end appliances, and thoughtful details designed for everyday living and entertaining. We also replaced the original spiral staircase with a safer, more functional design. Every detail was chosen to honor the home’s character while creating a space that feels fresh, timeless, and welcoming-proof that sometimes the best remodels simply give what’s already beautiful room to shine.
