Sunco Homes & Remodeling invites you to visit our stylish “Accessible Home” and pick up some tips for barrier-free living and aging in place. “ADA” and “barrier free” often conjure up ideas of a cold and sterile environment. We want to show you that it does not have to be that way. We have years of building and remodeling experience, and we put a lot of that knowledge to the test when building this home. You may be surprised to find the home is one level with no steps, built in the hills of south Salem. It is open and bright with tall ceilings, large windows and wide doorways. The kitchen countertops have been lowered, and there are knee wells installed in front of the sink and range to accommodate wheelchair access, to name a few of the accessibility features. We were challenged with a steep backyard, so we terraced it and built a path to the top of the 18′-tall hill. There is a surprise waiting in the shop/man cave. We vaulted the ceiling to allow for a car lift to be installed, then we filled it up with vintage muscle cars. We look forward to sharing it and all the outstanding features of our home with you.
